![]() ![]() So maybe that's happening for you as well, although I have no idea what could be the cause of that since players aren't really sending that much data. Some users are saying they're experiencing more lag when there are more players nearby. I'm not sure what could be the cause of two computers having different amounts of lag. Do you also see this issue when pressing only one key at a time, or does this only happen when pressing multiple keys shortly after each other. Regarding the keystrokes not registering, I haven't seen this issue yet. This still shouldn't bee too much of a problem either since it will fill the area once you capture another area. Sometimes though it gets so bad that it doesn't fill an area at all. The other is where sometimes a server gets overloaded and it will take a while before an area gets filled, this shouldn't be too much of a problem since usually it still fills it just a bit later, and usually it isn't overloaded for very long and it'll probably catch up filling all the areas after a couple of seconds. I still have no consistent way of reproducing this issue so it'll be pretty much impossible to fix right now. There's one bug where an area sometimes doesn't fill because of a dead player that is hidden inside that area. There are two things that could be the cause of areas not filling currently. and again, thank you for all your hard work! not sure if that can give any insight but figured to add it. one will play smoother than the other and vice versa in another lobby. there are two of us here, both with wired connections (<100ms ping), similar computers. Can see former due to latency but lack of keystrokes registering seems odd. ".but i pushed the button!?" But then there are times when you just have to press a key twice to take effect. Guess it's the same thing as being forced into a wall. Keystrokes don't keep up and instead make you take a three-block width. It becomes challenging when keeping a tight "circle" (not just battling, can understand lag there) but this will happen when trying to make a simple two-block width line. Have done tests to see if it's hardware and/or me but now know it's the game (have others experiencing similar). The main reason i write is because of lag in keystrokes or them simply not registering. This happens in close calls and is most likely latency related, but not due to lag. So I have had this glitch happen numerous times where I successfully complete a block of area, and am firmly on my own squares, but the game still detects a collision from another player. Hope that can give some insight and if you can bare with me for one more. Glitch: Getting killed while on my own squares. like it will fill in if say, 20K blocks? not sure on that though, these things do occur when smaller just a lot less frequently). It's like it doesn't want you taking "shortcuts" at certain times (or amassing a certain amount when being attacked. Instead of taking small stair-steps back up, i start taking huge leaps (20-30 blocks up and over) to get back to top quicker and that's when it will start outlining and not fill in. Also noticed the bigger the outline the more likely it is not going to fill when being attacked.įor example, say i'm amassing in bottom left corner and stair-step connecting from left wall to bottom wall, get midway and notice someone at top left attacking (no indication other than minimap). Have also noticed that when someone is taking blocks it can cause outline of path to not fill in (might just be part of design? to let you know when someone is attacking? but doesn't always happen either so. Have seen this happen in mid-game after joining a "good" lobby too. can really tell when, after connecting, blocks either take a moment to fill in or don't at all and just leave outlined paths. Some lobbies are worse than others and will just refresh browser. Splix.First, want to thank you for the game but more importantly for taking time to keep us informed.
